Invisalign in Ocean City, MD
At Atlantic Dental Cosmetic & Family Dentistry, many of our patients have always wanted to straighten their teeth but hesitated because they did not want traditional braces. Invisalign may be the solution that helps you achieve the smile you have always wanted.
How Does Invisalign Work?
After your initial consultation with one of our skilled Ocean City dentists, x-rays, photos, and impressions will be made of your teeth. Invisalign uses that information to create a series of plastic aligners that you will change out approximately every two weeks.
We recommend that you wear your aligners for 20 to 22 hours a day for the best and fastest results. You will need periodic evaluations with one of our knowledgeable dentists to make sure your teeth straightening is on track. Follow-up appointments are about every six weeks.
Treatment should take approximately one year, but this can vary from patient to patient. We'll let you know what to expect.
What Problems Does Invisalign Address?
Some of the issues Invisalign can resolve are:
- Protruding teeth
- Overly crowded teeth
- Gaps between teeth
The Benefits of Invisalign
By avoiding painful wires and brackets, you can enjoy the comfort of the smooth plastic aligners. Invisalign aligners are much less irritating to the soft tissues of your mouth and you have the flexibility of eating the foods you like.
Because you can remove Invisalign, brushing and flossing is a breeze. You will still have regularly scheduled dental cleanings in our office to maintain your dental health. You can comfortably wear Invisalign without it greatly impacting your lifestyle. This is why it is such a popular choice and why we offer it to our patients.
